    The Food Diaries // 021

The Food Diaries hasĀ got to be one of my favouriteĀ series on my blog, and I’m so sad that I’ve been neglecting it! It’s been nearly a year since my last entry to the series, but I’m back again. I’m trying to be very serious about my blogging and getting back into the game, so why not get back into things that I love writing about… food! My cousin wanted to do afternoon tea because that’s a thing a lot of tourists want to do when they come to London, apparently. I can’t lie, though, I do love a good afternoon tea. The last one I went to before December was…

    Hogwarts in the Snow

A post twice in one week?! Le gasp. Who is this new Chynna who has decided to grace you with her presence? New year, new me, init. I don’t usually succumb to the tune of “new year, new me” but if the shoe fits. I had a bunch of half-written posts sitting around, so I thought let me make them whole and post them up because they deserve to see the light of day instead of festering around like unwanted leg hair. For any Harry Potter fan, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter is an absolute must. Despite having visited 4 times already, the studio…

    For the Love of Travel!

In an attempt to keep things fresh on the blog, I’ve opted to write about a variety of topics but in a more uniformed way. I’m trying to get back into the blogosphere slowly, so I thought if I had some sort of plan in place this would help. Every month, I’m going to try and post at least 4 times within these categories: Lifestyle, Travel, Food & Books. These are things I’ve written about a lot over the years anyway, but now I’m going to try and tame the chaos that is my blog. Last week’s post was about self-care and this week I’ll be discussing my love of…

    My Self-care Rituals

Self-care is truly the most important thing that you could do for yourself. Aside from treating your body like a temple by feeding it healthy foods and drinking plenty of water, it is also important to take care of yourself mentally. I’m guilty of not doing much self-care in the past but I have recently picked up a few rituals for myself and thought I’d share it with you guys. Sunday is usually the day I take a few hours to myself to ~realign my chakras~. JK, I sound like such an asshole.Ā ? Face Mask My cousin recently visited over the Christmas/New Year period and brought with her a shit…

    2018 Reflection

Happy New Year, my lovelies!Ā ? The last time I did one of these reflections was in 2017, and I thought it was a really good way to look back on the year and really discover what I learnt about not only myself but also the world around me. 2018 was, for all intents and purposes, actually a pretty good year. People have said it was up and down, and sure I’ve had some really bad downs but I still managed to go away quite a bit, eat some really good food and create new memories with the ones I love. So, without further ado here is my reflection on 2018.…

    What I’m Thankful For

I thought I’d pop this post up whilst I work on a few others that will be coming out over the next few weeks. Also, Christmas is coming up so I’m excited to think up ideas for Blogmas! Although we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK, I thought it’d be good to take a moment to write about what I’m thankful for.Ā ? Friends I’ve always believed you are who you are because of your surroundings, what you consume via television, film, books or various other media, your upbringing and family, and most importantly your friends. I am so thankful for the friends that I have in my life who have…

A Familiar City Called New York

Storytime: Against my better judgement I got into an Uber with a crazy lady. I’ll explain – Mutay and I had just braved a 12hr+ coach journey from Toronto to New York and I wasn’t really feeling toĀ search for the subway to trek all the way to Brooklyn. So, I ordered an Uber. The Uber came pretty quick – he parked, came to help us load our suitcases in the trunk and at this point, I could see he was talking, but I thought he was on the phone or something. Lo and behold when we open the car door, who is sitting there? The previous passenger he had picked…

    Running Through the 6ix

… with my woes. I have a feeling that this post is definitely going to be my longest out of all the ones I’ll be posting. When I was going through the things we did when we were in Toronto, I actually had no idea how much we did. Admittedly, there are a lot of things that I still want to see in Toronto so a trip back is definitely needed. Canada is actually on my list of places to work abroad and this trip was partly to give me an insight into what Toronto is like. IĀ loveĀ Toronto. Being a city girl, Toronto is definitely the sort of place I…

How To Do Iceland (In 3 Days)

Well, I’m back! I’m surprised I actually blogged at least once whilst I was away but then we hit Toronto and all thoughts of blogging disappeared. But here I am ready to fill you all in on my latest adventures. I still can’t believe that we hit up 3 countries in 10 days, but alas we did and it was absolutely amazing. I was going to put everything in one master post but realised that wasn’t realistic and you’d probably stop reading ¼ of the way in. So, here’s the first post of our transatlantic adventures starting off with: Iceland. Quick rundown: Iceland is cold. Iceland is expensive. Iceland is…

What’s Made Me Happy This Month

As I write this, I am sitting in a hostel in Iceland and honestly, it still feels like a dream. I don’t think it has hit me yet that I’m on holiday, so I’ll give it a few more days. Regardless, I was meant to have this post up yesterday but as that was the day we were flying out, things also went flying out the window. Have you ever been in place where you think, nothing gets much better than this? Like when you’re eating some really good pancakes or reading a book that you can’t seem to put down? I always find that it’s the little things that…
