About Me

My name is Chynna, pronounced Sheena. I am a foodie, writer and blogger. Passions of mine include travelling, reading, and binge-watching Netflix and kdramas.

Currently: trying to live.

I can also quote Mean Girls almost line for line. My biggest weaknesses come in the form of three things (or the Holy Trinity, if you will): Mexican food, Leonardo DiCaprio and Netflix.

About Chynna Webley

Issa personal blog!

I document things that happen in my life and try to put an interesting spin on it. 9/10, however, my life is actually pretty boring.

The main things I blog about are:

🍝 Food – I started the Food Diaries because I love food and I love talking to people about food. I’m on a mission to find the best restaurants in London, but I also write about restaurants from my travels, as well!

✈️ Travel – I’ve had the travel bug since I was young and I’ve been blessed to have visited 15 countries already. Here’s to more travelling!

👧🏽 Feminism – I started this series with my best friend after attending a talk by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. She and my best friend opened my eyes and this series is an exploration of what it means to be a feminist and what feminism means to us.

🗣️ Let’s Talk About – These are a series of posts where I open up the discussion on topics that people don’t really want to talk about openly online and topics they weren’t really aware existed!

I think every person has their own identity and beauty. Everyone being different is what is really beautiful. If we were all the same, it would be boring. ~ Tila Tequila

Exploring my identity is an important part of my journey and writing is a good outlet to voice my discoveries.

I’ve recently become more vocal about my alopecia and my struggles with it. You can read my post here and if you would like more information about alopecia, please visit Alopecia UK.

I want to raise awareness and spread positive vibes to my fellow Alopecians, and my blog is my main starting point. It may not get any easier (let’s not lie), but if we’ve got the support and the care and the love, then we can do this. We absolutely can.

I’ve also written a few post in regards to my identity: Being Mixed Race & Unapologetically Filipinx Jamaican. 99.8% of the time, people have no idea what ethnicity I am when they first meet me. I’ll clear that up now: I am Filipino & Jamaican and I am so blessed because we have such good food in both cultures ?

A blog is neither a diary nor a journal. Many people think of blogging in relation to those two things, confessional or practical. It is neither but includes elements of both. ~ Lemn Sissay

I spend a crazy amount of time on social media. Feel free to connect with me on Twitter or Instagram – I usually reply within minutes because my phone is an extension of my hand. Want to collaborate? Take a look at my Work With Me page or drop me an email at hello[at]chynnawebley[dot]com!
