Where To Eat in… New York City

I think New York will always be my favourite place to write about when it comes to food. There are so many places to eat and honestly, I need to get my butt back there ASAP. Here’s my guide to where to eat in New York City! If you have any suggestions, feel free to share them in the comments. 😋 Ichiran 374 Johnson Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11206 | 132 W 31st St, New York, NY 10001 Nothing quite beats ramen on a cold, wintery day. If you’re looking for some good tonkotsu ramen then Ichiran is the way to go. Boasting solo dining, you can enjoy your ramen in…

A Love Letter to New York

Finally, after 3 months, we have come to the end of my New York travel series. Looking back on my previous posts make me very nostalgic, and I can’t wait to visit New York again! My last few days in New York were very lowkey and mostly spent with family. Mutay flew back home on Sunday, and after my cousin and I dropped her off at the airport we drove back home and I chilled for a bit. It felt a bit weird to not have Mutay around anymore, but I guess it would because we were in such close proximity for a while. Haha. I got a message from…

    The Food Diaries // 003

I have so many entries for the Food Diaries, and it’s making me equally hungry and excited. New York is chock full of amazing places to eat; from the streets of Brooklyn, all the way to Harlem you’ll be sure to find something that tickles your fancy. We managed to find ourselves in Amy Ruth’s on a Tuesday evening, after walking what seemed like forever around Central Park. It is in a fairly inconspicuous spot, but once you get inside it you feel right at home. We were seated in the corner opposite a mirror which was littered with signatures from various artists. Pretty cool. Our waitress was really quick, and…

Taking Over New York With Joy

[I got a bit trigger happy with the photos in this post.] Let me start off by saying, “I crossed something off my bucket list!!!1111!!!21!1!!!!” In doing that I am leading the way to taking over the world. Ha, joke. So, before I left for New York I asked if any bloggers were in the area and Joy said she was! We made all the necessary arrangements and I found myself meeting her at Penn Station on Monday morning after coming from Baltimore. It’s a surreal experience meeting someone who you’ve only spoken to online before. This is an actual person who you’ve exchanged comments with and you’ve read all…

    New York, New York

My flight was at 1 in the afternoon, but I left quite early to get to the airport as I had to take a bus and a train. Smooth journey to the airport, so not much to report there. Although, as a relatively small person, I did have a bit of trouble lugging around my suitcase (which was heavier than I thought it would be) and my backpack, which was loaded with God knows what. I mentioned in the post announcing that I was going to New York that the flying part of travelling is exciting. It was a bit weird for me because it was the first time I’d…

    Fried Chicken Is My God

In which I discuss how amazing fried chicken is and nobody can tell me otherwise. Happy June! It has been a while since I posted, but between arriving back from New York, getting back to work and starting my new internship, I have had absolutely no time for this blog. This makes me sad, but it is what it is. I’m really excited to write about my New York adventures avec Mutay, and since I was there for two weeks I’ll have to break it down into parts. New York was amazing. It’s surreal that I’ve actually been now, because NY has been on my travel list for the longest time. Now I…
