    Life Lately 6

What’s going on in the land of Chynna? When I first decided to write another Life Lately post, I wasn’t sure I’d have anything to write about but then I started doing my bullet points (something I usually do when I’m writing blog posts) & I came up with quite a few things! Life, in general, has actually been really, really good. January 2019 is probably one of the best January’s I’ve ever had. Usually, right after Christmas and New Year, I fall into a deep pit of “OMG, it’s a new year, I MUST project a new me to everyone and let everyone know my goals” but I almost…

Sh*t They Don’t Tell You About Adulting

Adulting is hard. I can’t tell you how many times I complain a day about having to “adult”. I really wish there was a handy manual that I could refer to when I can’t get my head around something, or better yet – I wish someone had told me what I was to expect when I grew up. Do you ever wonder what life would be like if they had taught us budgeting or money management when we were in school? Things like taxes, mortgages or setting up a savings plan. If you were lucky to have parents who helped you out with that, all I can say is that…

A Letter to my Future Self

Dear Chynna, I’ve always written letters to our past selves, but really what good will that do? We can’t go back and change the past, we can only learn from it. I thought that this time around, we’d have a go at writing to our future self. I also didn’t want to write a generic letter that states the goals that I want to be achieved at this certain time, blah blah blah. I’m still at a stage in my life where I don’t know exactly where I want to be in say 5 years time. I just know that I want us to be happy, as cheesy as that sounds,…

    2018 Goals

My last post of 2017 mainly focused on what had happened in the year and ended with a couple of questions about what I’ll be doing in terms of self-improvement/self-love/self-care. I really enjoyed answering those questions and it felt good to write everything down. I feel like with writing those answers and publishing them on my blog for everyone to see, I must now be held accountable.  This post will focus on my actual goals for 2018. I FaceTimed my cousin last night, and she really inspired me with her own goals for the year. She said that she feels like this year is going to be her year and…

    Life Lately 5

September has been a bit hectic, ain’t it? I didn’t expect my September to be so busy! I haven’t had a chance to sit down and plan posts, which is something that I usually do. Anyway, here’s a post now and a round up of my September. ALOPECIA AWARENESS September marked Alopecia Awareness Month and so I made a big decision to shave the remainder of my hair off! I didn’t have much left anyway, but there was always this feeling that that’s still my hair and shaving it is a big deal. For once I can actually look in the mirror and not cringe anymore. It’s still a bit…

    25 Things I’ve Learned In 25 Years

I turned 25 last Monday and I’m still shook because I have no idea where time has gone. I swear it was only the other day that I was celebrating my 18th birthday by having a debut (complete with pink dresses, 18 roses and candles and a whole lot of cheese). Nancy reminded me today that she’s been following me since I was 18. That’s 7 years, guys. Half way to 50 and I’m pleased to say there are a few things I’ve learned along the way, so here are my 25 things I’ve learned in 25 years. Learn to love yourself before getting into a relationship. I think I’ve mentioned…

    Life Lately 3

I didn’t have any preplanned posts lined up, but as I’ve made the effort to post every Sunday since the beginning of this year I felt it necessary to blog today! Here’s a rundown of everything that has happened so far, this year: January I took my mother for afternoon tea at the British Museum. Thanks to a Groupon voucher, we had a wonderful time and the deal even included Prosecco. My mother doesn’t really drink so I got to have hers as well, ha. I finally took the plunge and started to promote my blog posts on Instagram. I know some have been doing this for ages, so this is obviously…

    The Happiness Planner

In my Reflections post (which I am always referring to because I feel like it was the start of me getting back into my blogging mojo and not just because it was January 1st, FYI), I mentioned that I had bought a new planner. The 52-week Journal is about setting weekly goals, weekly overview, weekly reflection. It also comes in different colours ? It is honestly one of the best things I have invested in (aside from the two pillows I bought from Primark because I need elevation, you get me?).

    Life Lately

Lets do a roundup of Chynna’s life lately. In between working and sleeping and mostly eating, I haven’t had a change to properly update you guys on what has been happening in my life. I am mostly active on Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram so follow me there if you want minute to minute updates on how boring my life is. Jk ~ it’s actually pretty decent. We’re in August now, which also happens to be my birthday month (clearly the best month to be born in, IMO), and I still can’t believe that the year has flown by so quickly already. Considering how shit 2016 has been, in terms of…

    Working Girl Problems

It’s been a hectic few days and I’ve now come to realised how busy being a working girl is. Now that I have two jobs, I have to juggle between them – I am currently doing two days at Mutual Media and three days at Move Digital but it’s the travelling that is taxing on me. I have to travel quite far from where I live to get to these places. I just started working at MD yesterday , but I can tell the journey is going to kill me every time. It takes me about an hour, which in theory shouldn’t be bad, but I have to take a…
