Where To Eat in… New York City
I think New York will always be my favourite place to write about when it comes to food. There are so many places to eat and honestly, I need to get my butt back there ASAP. Here’s my guide to where to eat in New York City! If you have any suggestions, feel free to share them in the comments. š Ichiran 374 Johnson Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11206 | 132 W 31st St, New York, NY 10001 Nothing quite beats ramen on a cold, wintery day. If you’re looking for some good tonkotsu ramen then Ichiran is the way to go. Boasting solo dining, you can enjoy your ramen in…

Running Through the 6ix
… with my woes. I have a feeling that this post is definitely going to be my longest out of all the ones I’ll be posting. When I was going through the things we did when we were in Toronto, I actually had no idea how much we did. Admittedly, there are a lot of things that I still want to see in Toronto so a trip back is definitely needed. Canada is actually on my list of places to work abroad and this trip was partly to give me an insight into what Toronto is like. IĀ loveĀ Toronto. Being a city girl, Toronto is definitely the sort of place I…

The Food Diaries // 020
There have been 20 entries in The Food Diaries! People seem to enjoy them, which I’m glad to see and I enjoy writing them because what’s not to love about food? (Except when you’re dying from an allergic reaction, ahem) These days I’ve been craving fried chicken like a pregnant lady, so it’s only right that I must write a post about fried chicken. More specifically fried chicken burgers. Other Side Fried were promoting on Instagram free chicken burgers for the first 100 people that headed over to Dirty South in Lewisham. My fat ass obviously had to get in on the action. Unfortunately, I missed out on the free…

Life Lately 5
September has been a bit hectic, aināt it? I didnāt expect my September to be so busy! I havenāt had a chance to sit down and plan posts, which is something that I usually do. Anyway, hereās a post now and a round up of my September. ALOPECIA AWARENESS September marked Alopecia Awareness Month and so I made a big decision to shave the remainder of my hair off! I didnāt have much left anyway, but there was always this feeling that thatās still my hair and shaving it is a big deal. For once I can actually look in the mirror and not cringe anymore. Itās still a bit…

The Food Diaries // 003
I have so many entries for the Food Diaries, and it’s making me equally hungry and excited. New YorkĀ is chock full of amazing places to eat; from the streets of Brooklyn, all the way to Harlem you’ll be sure to find something that tickles your fancy. We managed to find ourselves in Amy Ruth’s on a Tuesday evening, after walking what seemed like forever around Central Park. It is in a fairly inconspicuous spot, but once you get inside it you feel right at home. We were seated in the corner opposite a mirror which was littered with signatures from various artists. Pretty cool. Our waitress was really quick, and…

Fried Chicken Is My God
In which I discuss how amazingĀ fried chicken is and nobody can tell me otherwise. Happy June! It has been a while since I posted, but between arriving back from New York, getting back to work and starting my new internship, I have had absolutely no time for this blog. This makes me sad, but it is what it is. I’m really excited to write about my New York adventures avec Mutay, and since I was there for two weeks I’ll have to break it down into parts. New York wasĀ amazing.Ā It’s surreal that I’ve actually been now, because NY has been on my travel list for the longest time. Now I…

The Food Diaries // 001
I am always looking for new ways to spice up my blog. Itās kind of hard to blog when thereās nothing exciting going on in my life except for the increasing amounts of television Iām watching (although, I have yet to start Game of Thronesā¦) One thing that is always exciting in my life, however, is all the new places to eat I get to discover. Thatās why Iāve decided to start The Food Diaries, because what better way to document my love of food? (Other than on Instagram) And so, to mark the first post of āThe Food Diariesā, my first entry will be aboutĀ Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant…

Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I no longer have a laptop and so posting will be sporadic to say the least. I’m currently writing this on the family’s laptop, which is the oldest laptop in the world it seems. It’ll do for now, but I can’t upload videos and pictures due to the fact that 1) it’s incredibly slow, and 2) the laptop might suffer a breakdown. It’s /that/ old. Things have been incredibly busy since my last post, and now that we are in September I’m taking a step back and trying to figure out my options. You can’t stay in one place forever, and so… I’ve decided I want…
