There totally is, you just need to know where to look for some great deals and discounts. Here are my top tips, just for you! Another Parisian Adventure

I don’t think I could ever get tired of Paris. It doesn’t matter how many times I go, or how many times I visit the same landmark, or how many times I go to Disney – there’s always this sense of familiarity which makes me feel comfortable and I know that I can visit again and again. Last November, my friend and I went to Paris for a few days where we also spent a whole day in Disney. You can’t really go wrong with a trip to Disney and it really is the happiest place on Earth. Don your Minnie ears and join me on a Parisian adventure! Theme…

    The Food Diaries // 019

“Food, in the end, in our own tradition, is something holy. It’s not about nutrients and calories. It’s about sharing. It’s about honesty. It’s about identity”. ~ Louise Fresco It has been a hot minute since I last posted an entry to The Food Diaries! Last November, I was invited to Lotus Bar to try out their new Christmas canapés. I also had the opportunity to try out one of their Christmas cocktails, as well! Located on Clapham High Street, Lotus Bar specialises in Italian food making an emphasis on unique flavours. Their recipes come from family secret ingredients and I could definitely tell this when I got to try their…

    2018 Goals

My last post of 2017 mainly focused on what had happened in the year and ended with a couple of questions about what I’ll be doing in terms of self-improvement/self-love/self-care. I really enjoyed answering those questions and it felt good to write everything down. I feel like with writing those answers and publishing them on my blog for everyone to see, I must now be held accountable.  This post will focus on my actual goals for 2018. I FaceTimed my cousin last night, and she really inspired me with her own goals for the year. She said that she feels like this year is going to be her year and…

    *ring ring* “2018 calling.”

A year of mainly ups, but some downs and the chorus of all of us singing, “Where the hell has the year gone?” I was going to do a reflection post just like I did at the start of the year, but Mutay sent me some questions which I thought be a perfect way to reflect on the year. First, however, I’ll be going through how my year went and revelling in the fact that I have actually achieved so much. Let’s start off with January, which was actually a quiet start to the year. I wanted to focus on my goals, which included the use of my Happiness Planner.…

    Merry Christmas

That’s the presents unwrapped, the turkey eaten, the pigs in blankets devoured, all of the films watched. That’s Christmas done for another year! Can’t lie, I’ve definitely eaten enough to feed a small army today, not mention drank so much Moscato that it’s practically pouring out of my ears. I hope you all had a magical Christmas, wherever you are in the world ~ 2018 is around the corner, so let us all wish for the best in the upcoming New Year. PS. Doctor Who was pretty good this year. Scream for Lethbridge-Stewart. Scream because we have finally got rid of Steven Moffatt. Scream because of the new Doctor’s Yorkshire…

    Friendsmas

Merry Christmas Eve! Tomorrow is officially Christmas — are you ready?! I literally just finished my Christmas shopping yesterday. Since finishing work up for the holidays, I have eaten a ridiculous amount that it’s no wonder that I don’t look like a small whale, right now. I mean as I am typing this, I am eating 😂 That’s my favourite part of Christmas, not that I need an excuse, but the amount of food consumption. To be fair, I should be careful though because I have definitely started to feel the effects of eating too much… At the moment, though, can’t stop, won’t stop! This week, I’ve had three Friendsmas gatherings…

    Borough Market

I wanted to go to several markets to write for this post, but I only managed to visit one with my mum the other day. Nevertheless, I had fun wandering around Borough Market and looking at all the goodies the sellers had on display. I love grabbing a mulled wine from one of the stalls and browsing what’s for sale. With 14 different herbs and spices, the mulled wine I chose was so delicious. I also managed to pick up some fudge from Whirld and beer sticks from Canon & Canon. I also got to smell some truffles, whilst my mum was in the background telling me that they look…

    Christmas Tree Reveal

My mum is always in charge of the Christmas tree and I just realised that I haven’t posted any pictures of our tree anywhere on social media! This year she went for a silver and red theme and as always it turned out amazing 😍 I also mentioned that I decorated a mini tree for my desk at work, and my mum picked up some mini decorations for me. I also managed to nab some fairy lights from Poundland and with the spare tinsel I wrapped some fairy lights around it and put it on my screen! What does your Christmas tree look like? Do you go for real or…

    A Letter to Santa

Dear Santa, I can’t remember the last time I wrote to you. I vaguely remember writing a few letters when I younger asking for the usual kid things like toys, but this year I’m not wishing for anything like that. As you know, this year I’ve been alright… mostly. 2017 has been so up and down, but I’m happy to report that it has mostly had its ups. I feel a lot smarter and wiser, and that I can achieve anything that I put my heart to. A lot of progress has been made this year in terms of finding myself and putting the work into making my dreams come…
