I think New York will always be my favourite place to write about when it comes to food. There are so many places to eat and honestly, I need to get my butt back there ASAP. Nothing quite beats ramen on a cold, wintery day. If you’re looking for some good tonkotsu ramen then Ichiran is the way to go. Boasting solo dining, you can enjoy your ramen in peace without having to interact with any of the waiters except to tap a button to order more food. Using only the finest ingredients, Ichiran is without a doubt the best ramen I’ve ever had.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

You can’t go wrong with soul food! This restaurant based in Harlem delivers some super delicious homestyle Southern cuisine. Whether it’s fried chicken and waffles or fried shrimp that you’re craving then you can definitely find it at Amy Ruth’s. Be prepared for the delightfulness that is their cornbread!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

NYC has a neverending amount of all you can eat restaurants and Spring Shabu Shabu is one of the ones you should definitely visit! With a choice of 5 different broths to choose from, an endless amount of vegetables, noodles, dumplings and other sides, and your chance to create your own unique dipping sauce you will not want to leave this place. Choose from seafood or meat and you’ll be having a party in your mouth.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

For exceptional jerk chicken check out Peppa’s based in Brooklyn. Watch as the man behind the counter hacks the chicken into pieces and immediately salivate over the succulent, peppery, tangy, juiciness of it all. Don’t forget to order the festival, as well!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

When I think of America, I think of diners. I think of hamburgers. I think of mac n cheese. I think of my arteries being clogged. All the things I just thought of then converge into one and I think of Big Daddy’s. Massive heart attack inducing shakes with big portions of tater tots and delicious fat burgers can be found at this restaurant. If you’re looking for somewhere retro to dine, definitely check this place out.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Not only do they do good food, but they also have some pretty good drinks. Beware of their massive portions, it might be wise to split a meal between two! You can’t go wrong with their combo meals like steak, ribs and shrimp – absolutely delicious.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

There’s a reason why this restaurant was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives – they do some really good fried chicken. Alongside a fat buttermilk biscuit, the dishes here are so yummy you’ll be coming back for more. Not only that, but they also do dessert for those of you that have a sweet tooth – pies and doughnuts, anyone?<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

I will never forget hunting the streets of NYC for this cart and not being disappointed! If street meat is your thing then, be sure to check out their gyros platters with their famous white sauce. You may think, “Hmmm, Chynna… street meat sounds a bit dodgy,” – just trust me. This stuff is the good stuff and you get a decent portion of food, as well!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Offering high-quality meat and a variety of classic Korean dishes, Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong is definitely the place to go for KBBQ. You will get an impressive spread of banchan (traditional Korean side dishes), but the star of the show is definitely the cuts of meat that are delivered to your table and grilled by your server. Great service and extremely yummy food!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
