    Interning and Dating

I consider myself very lucky to be in a job that I not only like, but in a field that I actually studied at university. All this was thanks to the first ever internship I did. As some of my readers might know, I interned at a place called Mutual Media from October 2013. I recently finished that internship to move on to a full time job at Move Digital, and I can honestly say I will miss that place. Not only was I paid at this internship, I also learnt many valuable lessons. Most internships you’ll come across in the UK aren’t paid for 3 months, and even then…

I Had a Date with Destiny

Excuse the title. I re-watched Toy Story 3 for about the millionth time, last night. I have become highly aware that I haven’t written an OkCupid post in a while. This isn’t for lack of not trying but rather I’ve been extremely busy with work. This is a quick update to say that yes, I am still am on OkCupid, and no, I don’t know if I’ll be leaving any time soon despite finding some very nice people on there. I went on a date to Portsmouth the other week. There was a winter sale on, so it was only Ā£10 return anytime, which is pretty good. I’m one of…

    The OkCupid Social Experiment

I’m usually pessimistic about most things male related, but after recently ending a nearly one year old relationship the appeal of meeting new people and males that might share my interests was positively welcomed. Chynna convinced me to join her in what I could call a ‘social experiment’. I had no plans of actually meeting anyone off OkCupidĀ but that quickly changed. I received my fair share of the generic ‘hey, how are you?’ messages – admittedly, I only replied to those if the sender was cute! Then I had the ones who had thoroughly read my profile and were very willing to compete with me in a burger challenge! (Give…

    Bump ‘n’ Grind

So, my best friend is on a first date with someone she met on OkCupid. It’s still ‘Blog Everyday In February’, so I’m sticking to it. I’ve been chilling with a ‘friend’ and the bartenders because being a third wheels sucks. I’m still having fun, though! We decided to play dirty/romantic songs for them including Hot in Herre, Ignition, Bump ‘n’ Grind and I’m Horny. If you don’t see a post tomorrow, you know I’m dead. My ‘friend’ said he’s my wingman. I’m putting quotation marks because we’ve known each other since primary school but he used to bully me. He’s still annoying. Haha. He’s trying to make me get…

    Working Girl Problems

It’s been a hectic few days and I’ve now come to realised how busy being a working girl is. Now that I have two jobs, I have to juggle between them – I am currently doing two days at Mutual Media and three days at Move Digital but it’s the travelling that is taxing on me. I have to travel quite far from where I live to get to these places. I just started working at MD yesterday , but I can tell the journey is going to kill me every time. It takes me about an hour, which in theory shouldn’t be bad, but I have to take a…

    A First Date

Her rule for this year was to be more brave. She texted her best friend saying that she had gotten an invite for drinks and that she was hesitant, but not hesitant enough to say no. She wished that her best friend was in London with her but alas she was off in the far away land of Coventry. Her best friend said if she said yes she should bring somebody along because you have to be careful about these things. She agreed. What if she said yes, went by herself and he turned out to be a 50 year old pervert? God forbid. Her next problem was to find…

    Future Tag

Not much to report here today, readers, hence the late post (well depending where you live. It’s currently 10:15pm over here). So, I thought I’d give the future tag I found on Tumblr a shot šŸ™‚ 1.Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Hopefully with a husband and kids with a stable job and a nice house. My ideal choice would be to be an author, so I’m just at home looking after the kids whilst coming up with new story ideas, etc. Also, possibly still maintaining this blog – who knows? 2. Do you want to get married? Yes! I haven’t given itĀ thatĀ much thought, though. 3. Do you…
