• Things To Do In London

A blog post in the middle of the week? Yeah, your eyes aren’t seeing things. I realise I’ve been away from the blogosphere for the longest time, but that was entirely unintentional. I’ve been putting most of my time and energy into NaNoWriMo this month and a lot of other things have happened since I last posted, but I’ll write about them slowly but surely and catch you guys up. Anyway, moving on… A few weekends ago, I went to Hertfordshire to join some fellow bloggers in a cooking lesson at The Cookery and had the best time ever. Just need to get this out of the way but is…

    #TrainAndRecover with 1Rebel and Simplyhealth

As my cousin would say: #iworkouttoeat Last weekend I had the opportunity to try out 1Rebel‘s ‘Reshape’ class and lets just say something definitely got reshaped during those 45 minutes. Located near Liverpool Street, 1Rebel is a boutique fitness studio and easily one of the fanciest gyms I’ve been too. They specialise in three classes at this location: ROUNDS, RUMBLE and RESHAPE, and all I can say is “Wow.” Teaming up with Simplyhealth and Joe Blogs, I arrived at 1Rebel around 10.30AM feeling fully prepared. I had my gym clothes on already, my water bottle was filled (which I didn’t even need because there was plenty of water going around!) and I was…

  • Blogmas

Apologies for what seems to be a fail of a Blogmas series! Mutay and I have both been so busy with work (that’s always our excuse, isn’t it) and with Christmas literally two days away, it’s hard to squeeze anything in between last minute Christmas shopping and eating literally all of the food. Nevermind, eh? I’m back now and I just want to talk about the amazing time I had at the Murder Mystery night with bgo, Joe Blogs and Agent November.

    Spooktacular Halloween Make Up Class

I haven’t always ‘celebrated’ Halloween. I remember when I was younger, my mum never used to let us go trick or treating because she didn’t believe in Halloween and she’s quite a strict Catholic. However, over the years I’ve found myself actually doing something for Halloween now – whether it be fancy dress or just going out with friends, I love going out on this spooky night! When I got an email from Joe Blogs about a Halloween make up class, I jumped at the chance to attend. Located in the rather lush Thistle Holborn hotel, bloggers were treated to devilishly good food and drink, plenty of laughs and a…

    Monkeying around at Go Ape!

Last week Sunday, I was very lucky to go to Go Ape with several other bloggers thanks to BGO and Joe Blogs Blogger Network. To celebrate the launch of their Kong online slot game, we got to release our inner Tarzan; swinging in the trees, screaming like banshees and pretty much spending the whole day picking out wedgies. Go Ape is the UK’s number one forest adventure. They have 28 locations around the country, that vary from your basic Go Ape experience to Forest Segway Experience safaris. No two Tree-Top adventures are the same, and they even offer courses for your little ones! Our lovely instructor, George, helped us get…

How many times can you watch Mean Girls? The limit does not exist. I was invited by Joe Blogs Blogger Network and Currys to The Floating Cinema for an evening on a barge to watch Mean Girls and indulge in popcorn and alcohol. How could I say no? I’ve never been on a barge before, so I was admittedly a little skeptical. However, I had the most amazing time! For those of you that don’t know, a barge is a flat-bottomed boat – it was definitely a different way to experience watching a film. The Floating Cinema was created by UP Projects in 2013 and is supported by a variety partners including…

When was the last time you played Monopoly? I received an email from Joe Blogs Blogger Network inviting me to a games night hosted by them and Legal & General, with the promise of a fun night, pizza and prosecco. Who could say no? Now, investment isn’t something that’s really in my vocabulary. The last time I actually played Monopoly was about 5 years ago at Christmas, and I distinctly remember being very pissed off because I kept losing so much money. Nevertheless, now that I’m much older, and ahem… wiser, I think I can see how Monopoly can help in my real life investments. Luckily, this games night was filled…

Despite receiving bad news (not laptop related, this time), I have had a whale of a time this week. From re-bonding with people I used to work with years ago and working with new people, birthday dinners and a lot of fun and games, let’s just say that I don’t think my summer has ended just yet. This week, I was lucky enough to be one of the 25 bloggers who visited HintHunt this week with LV= Insurance and Joe Blogs. It honestly has to be one of the best Wednesday nights I’ve had in a while. You can read the blog post about fun family days out here. HintHunt…
