Being a girl can suck. Bleeding from a certain orifice every month isn’t exactly what you’d call heavenly. There’s a reason why we’re cranky, boys – it’s because we’re pissed you don’t have to go through it too. It’s always nice to have something that can take your mind off your period, and just relax a little. You know what I mean?
That’s where Pink Parcel comes in.
I was lucky enough to receive a box when I went to the Bloggers Hangout LFW Beauty Bar, and I actually think it’s a genius idea. Every month, you receive a box around the time your period is due with everything you need from tampons/sanitary towels to feminine hygiene products as well surprise treats!
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I opened the box, but I was pleased with everything in there. In my box were two boxes of tampon for later and a little pouch of them that I could keep in my bag. The pouch has definitely come in handy, because it is so discreet and just the right size to keep other things in there too.
In my treat box, I received quite a lot of things!
Vitabiotics Perfectil Triple Active
I haven’t tried this yet, but they are supposed to be designed to complement your daily skin and hair care routine with a range of over 20 micronutrients specially formulated for utilisation by nails, hair follicles and the skin’s lower dermal layer.
Flawless Future Powered by Ceramide™ Caplet Serum
At the moment I am testing out skinChemist products, so I haven’t tried this one either. This is used to help reinforce skin’s essential moisture barrier, even skin tone, retexturise, and reduce the appearance of early signs of wrinkles. Rejuvenates the look of tired skin for a more energised complexion.
L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes Excess Mascara
One of the best mascaras I’ve ever tried! I went through a period where the mascara I used actually made my eyelashes fall out, so for ages I was scared to use any mascara at all. Recently, I’ve been wearing for eyeliner and mascara and so far, so good! I tried out the L’Oreal mascara and love how my eyelashes look!
Doisy & Dam Maca, Vanilla & Cacao Nibs
I tried this, and I’m not too sure on how I feel about them. To be honest, I’m not a fan of dark chocolate but I can see how they would appeal to people because they are organic, handmade in the UK, vegan AND gluten free. They have an interesting taste, so I’m guessing it is an acquired taste.
Pukka Detox Tea with Lemon
As you know I was recently on a 2 week tea detox, which has done wonders for my body and has definitely helped with bloating. When I found Pukka’s Detox Tea in the box, I was really excited to try it out. The taste isn’t too overwhelming, as I have found some teas can be too herby for my liking. It’s also naturally caffeine free, ethically sourced and has organically grown ingredients.
This Material Culture Arrow Pendant
This pendant is the perfect thing to show how much I love the TV show Arrow, haha. For real though, this pendant is hella cute. This hangs on a 16″ silver plated chain. Absolutely love it!
OPI Gwen Stefani I Sing In Color
I didn’t manage to get a picture for this one because all the ones I took didn’t display the colour good enough for me. Have a this photo instead ? OPI is one of my favourite nail varnish brands. I love this colour, and I think it’s perfect for Halloween. I checked out the other colours in Gwen Stefani’s collection, and I really want to try all of them! I love how OPI has themes; the last themed set I got from them was actually the Spiderman one.
Pop Heart Lip Balm
Shaped like a heart. Smells like cocoa butter. What could go wrong? NOTHING. Anything that smells like cocoa butter is a sure win for me. I can make sure my lips look on point now ?
Bellápierre Cosmetics Shimmer Powder, Tropic
I haven’t had a chance to use this yet, but I absolutely love the colour. It reminds me of summer, and how I wish it would be never ending.
I remember I went through a phase of wearing as many wristbands as possible, and these Bandzee remind me of that time. They aren’t actually JUST wristbands, though, as their main purpose is to serve as a hair accessory. Bandzee is a new generation of fashion-forward hair accessories made from the stretchiest of elastics to support any hairstyle without tugging on hair or leaving dents when you take your hair down. Awesome, right? I love the colours I was given too – can add a little colour to my work outfits 🙂
Overall, I think Pink Parcel is amazing. Lowkey wish I had come up with this, because I know most of my friends bitch about their periods and wish there was something to make it easier. This box is full of treats that will definitely take your mind off the fact that you’re gushing like a waterfall.
