#July4thWithThree
Living in the UK, July 4th isn’t something that I would usually celebrate. In fact, I’ve never celebrated it. When I received an email being invited to a July 4th party hosted by Three, the network service provider, I was intrigued.
With the promise of a free bar, American BBQ and snacks, and a selfie booth, my boyf and I made our way to Bethnal Green to party like it was 1776. (Geddit? :> )
We were one the first few people to arrive, and we were greeted by the lovely Elly who quickly explained all the fun things we would be doing throughout the evening, and I was given the handset I would be testing out. It was lovely to see Katy again, and also meet some new faces!
There were nachos with guacamole, salsa and sour cream, mac ‘n’ cheese and fried pickles when we arrived. I sampled all of them. They also had a popcorn machine and Pimms and lemonade was on tap – served in typical American red cups, which made it even more authentic.
Here’s a video of me doing the Saltine Challenge and getting a headache from trying to eat dry ass crackers in under 60 seconds.
The coolest thing was the selfie booth where you could take a picture with the hashtag ‘#July4thWithThree’ and you were able to print it. There were also fancy dress options, like Statue of Liberty and Captain America. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the foresight to un-private my Instagram account, so I was only able to print the ones I put up on Twitter. Nevertheless, it was really fun.
The BBQ was amazing – burgers, hotdogs, corn on the cob and chicken wangs – yes, I said wangs – and delicious salad options. All of it was so delicious! The food at the party was top notch, and I would love to have my own American party – red cups, beer pong and all.
We had a blogger vs. plus one game of beer pong, in which the bloggers lost 🙁
Throughout the party, I got to test out the Samsung S6. I always thought I would be an iPhone girl, but since testing out this phone, I think I’m a convert. The phone is amazing – no word of a lie. I can honestly say that the S6 has one of the best screens I’ve ever seen. The camera quality is literally out of this world. They have a beauty mode when you switch to selfie mode – it makes you look flawless (not that I’m not already, ha!)
The UI was pretty easy to use and figure out, considering the fact that I’m only used to my iPhone. The transition between screens is smooth and the apps load up nice and fast. The S6 is definitely something that I would invest in, and now that I’m not locked into a long godforsaken contract, I will be looking into this a lot more!
The party ended with sparklers and me pretending to be Hermione Granger (I’m still waiting for my Hogwarts letter), as well as some delicious milk and cookies!
Overall, it was definitely an awesome way to spend July 4th and I’d like to thank Three for inviting me to #makeitright!

I missed out on authentic American BBQ when I was actually in the States! Will definitely need to hit that up when I go back 🙂

I like how you celebrated harder than me on the 4th of July XD. It’s pretty cool that the network service provider hosted a cool party! Your drink looks so tasty and refreshing with the mint ;). The Saltine challenge doesn’t look as bad as the wasabi challenge XD.
Captain America is bae, right? ;).
I’ve tried the Samsung top notch phone and is not convinced yet D:. Hope you had fun!!
