Information Overload

Right, first things first. I am sorry. I am very sorry that it has been nearly a month since my last post but to be fair, I do have a lot of updates to get through with you guys. So bare with me please.

I am so far behind in replying to comments, it’s ridiculous but I swear as soon as this is posted I am getting right on it. I just want to say thank you to those still bothered to come and check on my blog and commented even whilst I was away. You are all angels and I am sitting making virtual cookies for you all. Please return in 24hrs for your batch.

Where should I start? Let me get the slightly boring stuff out of the way first – university. University has been slightly slow paced as of late. The only reason for this is because we are only in lectures once a week – for the rest of the week we are meant to be working on our dissertation and other work for our modules, but me? I’m being such a lazy shit it’s ridiculous. I think I am still partially in holiday mode which is not good. I totally need to get my arse into gear.

One of modules, however, is pretty exciting because I get to go to Norway this February as part of field research for our project. We have to do a whole bunch of stuff out there like do interviews, take a load of artsy photographs and videos – my group is specifically going to Bergen. I’m really excited but annoyed because Norway happens to be one of the most expensive countries in the world. I mean, we do get some funding from this group within the university and they have this thing called the Chancellor’s Fund where the uni was given £20,000 but I’m still waiting to hear back from them and they are taking their time.

But yeah, like I said, university has been pretty slow-paced. I reckon once this module has passed and all that’s left to do is dissertation it’ll go by really quickly and next thing you know I’m graduating. I’ve already started applying to some internships and stuff but oh my gosh, it is really scary thinking about getting a real job. AHH. I still want to be in the educational bubble 🙁 I’m going to be in so much debt when I leave university. Blah.

Personal life? Socially, it’s been okay. I’ve been partying ever so slightly more than I did in second year which isn’t good because I’m in my last year and I should really be in the library instead of a club but hey. YOLO. (Oh no, I didn’t just write that…) I can’t remember if I blogged about this thing called Carnage but a bunch of us went to it end of last year. It’s basically a massive bar crawl and the night ends at one of the night clubs. Last year’s was crazy. I am not even exaggerating. I came out with a broken phone, a busted lip and a swollen hand which didn’t heal for about 2 weeks. Yup. (I got dropped on my face by some random guy whilst trying to get a piggy back. The joys of drunkenness) So what are we going to do? GO TO IT AGAIN! February 6th isn’t ready for us.

To be fair, with my broken phone I did manage to get a new one because I was due for an upgrade. So guess what? Say hello to the new owner of a white iPhone 5. BOOM.

Mutay and I went for a spa day last Sunday, my Christmas present to her, and never have I felt so relaxed in my life. The swimming pool was divine. The jacuzzi was amazing. The steam room was… steamy. The sauna room.. let’s not even go there. Sweating it out like a boss – Mutay stayed in there longer than me though, so I guess she’s more of a boss. We both opted for neck, shoulder and back massage and also a leg massage and it was sooo nice. The masseuse was really friendly and her massage skills where well good plus the music made me really sleepy and we both came out smelling good. Haha. I definitely need to go on a spa day again.

February is going to be quick busy – what with Norway on the 14th (yes, we are going on Valentine’s Day) and then it’s one of my friend’s 21st birthday and she’s having a fancy dress party and then Mutay bought us tickets for the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff for my Christmas present which I am so f**king excited for it’s ridiculous. March is going to be good as well because I’m going to Prague with a bunch of people for Rawaa’s 21st birthday for the weekend. So many things to look forward to 😀

So, I may have mentioned a guy in one of previous blog posts. I usually go into a lot of detail when I talk about a guy I like but I kind of want to keep this sh*t to myself. But you guys should know that there *is* a guy but we aren’t going out because it’s difficult. Yeah, he lives in the Netherlands and as I’ve been long distance relationship before I know that sh*t don’t work (or maybe it’s just me) but things have been acknowledged and who knows what’s going to happen next? Life is full of surprises.

I feel like I’ve just overloaded you guys with all this information but I wanted to write everything that I’ve been meaning to write for a while. This isn’t a promise that’ll be back like in 2 days but hopefully I can back into the swing of blogging again. I am just so damn lazy.

Yes, those phone cases are honestly so handy 🙂 I like keeping my bubble tea card in there for easy access, but I never have money so the money pocket is always empty aha.

That must be so exciting to be able to go to Norway even if it’s for school! Apart from when I went to the Philippines, I’ve never really left North America! So trips like those are so exciting.
Carnage sounds awesome! I’d be too young for that (at least I think 16 is haha) but can’t lie, a lot of my friends host stuff like that and even small parties get as wild. I can only imagine how much better Carnage is. And I wish I could go for a spa day, 🙁 Strange, I stay at this hotel in the US a lot and they have a spa there but I’ve never gone. I should definitely consider it sometime haha. Best of luck with the boy as well 😉 Whoever he is, I’m sure you guys will make it through despite the distance 🙂

Welcome back, Chynna! I love your new layout! It looks so cool and everything great :D.

Good luck with school! I’m sure you will get back into gear one way or another. Hopefully it’s soon? I believe in you :).

It sounds like you’re going to have a lot of fun doing your project this month. I hope you will hear from the school regarding getting the fundings. Good luck with getting those internships. Gah, you’re already graduating?! Time really flies ;-;.

I don’t even remember if you did blog about Carnage… Maybe you did but I forgot about it since I just woke up XD. February 6 is tomorrow! I hope you will have fun and won’t end up like you did that other time. Congratulations on getting an iPhone 5! White iPhones are ftw.

It’s cool how you and Mutay went for a spa day. It sounded like you both had a lot of fun there.

You definitely have a lot going on this month! It’s good to keep some things to yourself since these things are personal topics. I hope things will go alright with what’s going on.

Whenever you come back, have fun!

My final was good. I got one wrong at the end. 🙂

    Take care!
