¿Dónde estÔ la biblioteca?
I’m back from Barcelona with a wicked tan and a penchant for saying “Hola!” and “Gracias!”, all the time. Dear Barcelona, When I visited you two years ago, you took my heart. I vowed I would return, and whilst it took me two years to make it back – I did. You didn’t disappoint. From your astonishing views to your chilled out vibes and amazing weather, everything about you is a hundred and ten percent perfect. I didn’t want to leave, but alas it is back to reality for me. It won’t be long til I’ll be back. Adiós. DAY 1 We almost missed our coach to the airport, and the…

I came. I conquered.
Waking up in the morning after a night out is always the worst. If youāre lucky enough to not suffer from hangovers, then f**k you. Despite having to wake up early and feeling like absolute crap, I still had a fun second day in Amsterdam. (Warning: there is a photo of me on a giant penis sculpture at the end of this post) DAY 2 McDonalds is the cure to everything. Sore throat? McDonalds. High fever? McDonalds. Hangover? Most definitely McDonalds. I am not a doctor, but I can tell you now that McDonalds will make you feel a trillion times better. Trust me. Thankfully, McDonalds was only around the…

When in Amsterdam
Every time I visit a new place, I fall in love. There hasnāt been a place that Iāve travelled too, and havenāt fallen in love with at least one aspect of the place. Amsterdam is no exception. As soon as I arrived, I fell deeply and irrevocably in love with the city. A tad dramatic, perhaps, but the truth. I wish I were back there now. DAY 1 Plans from the night before were dashed aside, as I had an early flight. Despite our flight not being until 11, we had to get to the airport early because 1) Iām an early person, and I hate rushing and 2) I…

A Weekend in Paris
I should get a trophy for procrastination. I am obviously the queen of it. Moving on… As the best big sister in the world (yes, I am tooting my own horn because if not me, who else will?), I treated my sister to a weekend in Paris for her 16th birthday, last November. (See really big procrastination in writing about my travels)

Me Encanta Barcelona
Barcelona in one sentence: sun, sea and alcohol. Well, maybe not so much sun because it was pretty cloudy when we went. My friends were complaining that it was too hot, but as someone who’s been to the Philippines many times it was like water off a duck’s back for me. Nevertheless, I have an interesting tan line on my butt to show for it. Barcelona is amazing. It’s so amazing that I’m going back in September with Mutay. I haven’t booked anything, yet, but the passion to go back is so ridiculous. Alas, I’m stuck in an office being jealous of my colleague who’s going to China in August.…

I Had a Date with Destiny
Excuse the title. I re-watched Toy Story 3 for about the millionth time, last night. I have become highly aware that I haven’t written an OkCupid post in a while. This isn’t for lack of not trying but rather I’ve been extremely busy with work. This is a quick update to say that yes, I am still am on OkCupid, and no, I don’t know if I’ll be leaving any time soon despite finding some very nice people on there. I went on a date to Portsmouth the other week. There was a winter sale on, so it was only Ā£10 return anytime, which is pretty good. I’m one of…

Prague Shenanigans
As promised, here is the continued post from the Prague one. Things in Prague weren’t all smooth sailing. Whilst I did have fun out there, little things did annoy me and the journey back home wasn’t exactly the greatest. Here in the UK, we have this law where you aren’t allowed to smoke indoors in public places. I never realised how good the law actually was until I got to Prague. In Prague, you are allowed to smoke anywhere you want. The first club we went to, ROXY, was literally heaving with smokers. Not just regular smokers, but also people smoking weed. To say our clothes stank the next day…

When in Prague
So, it has been a while since the last blog post but to be fair I was off travelling and having the time of life. Yes, I went travelling again ā this time for my friendās 21st rather than for field research, so it was 10 times more fun. We went to Prague for 4 days from 14th to the 18th, and boy, we came back with stories. Prague itself is a beautiful country. A bit smoky, but Iāll explain that bit later. To be honest, whilst we did explore it a bit, we spent most of our time partying. We arrived on Friday, and as soon as we grabbed…

Rwyf Wrth Fy Modd Caerdydd
Last Sunday Mutay and I went on a little day trip to Cardiff! For Christmas, Mutay got me tickets to the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff Bay. As you should all know by now I am a massive fan of Doctor Who. When I say massive, it’s beyond ridiculous. Anyway, Cardiff Ā Bay is a really nice little place and I will definitely be visiting again. The Doctor Who Experience itself was amazing and I recommend it to any Whovian out there. I’ve been to the one in London but it’s shit compared to the one in Cardiff because the exhibition part of the experience is so much better and more…

Velkommen Til Norge
So, for the past couple of days, I went on a field trip as part of my course to Norway! Myself and two other people in my group spent 4 days in Bergen, which is on the west coast of Norway. It is a pretty amazing place and the scenery was really beautiful. Also, because it had recently been snowing the mountains were snowcapped and looked really cool. Here are some things to watch out about Bergen: 1. It’s expensive! Norway is one of the most expensive countries in the world to live in. When their main source of income is through oil, then I guess I can see why…
