    #StillLivingWithMyParents

I’ve always wondered why people in my generation are so eager for independence. It’s understandable if you don’t have a choice, or your parents kick you out, or other unavoidable circumstances, but if you have the choice wouldn’t you rather stay at home and save up your money to buy your own place? Everyone seems to be rushing around getting cars, wanting to rent their own place, etc. Whereas I’m still trying to figure out what it is I want. It’s all very well having a car, but at the end of the day is it not an expensive thing to have? There are many other variables to consider: petrol,…

    10 Fucks I Cannot Give in 2014

Warning: The word ‘fuck’ will be appearing a lot throughout this post, along with various other cuss words. We’ve just entered the fourth month of this year, and I’ve already mentally written a list of 50 fucks I cannot give. However, for your sake, I’ve narrowed it down to 10 fucks I simply refuse to give this year. Je refuse. No puedo. Nope. 1. Pretending to be nice and friendly I have a history of being nice to people who aren’t really that nice back. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be polite but I’m not going out of my own way to make someone feel comfortable just for them to…

    Is Religion Confusing for You?

Religion, for me, hasn’t always been a big deal. Having been raised Catholic; I have done most of the whole nine yards – Baptism, Communion and Confirmation. I suppose the last act would be marriage. Despite having done all these things, I still don’t find myself to be at all religious. I always feel uncomfortable around the topic of religion because people always expect you know exactly what you identify with. Am I Catholic? Am I atheist? Am I agnostic? I don’t particularly like labels, so when someone asks me I always skirt around the subject, somehow. For me, I honestly don’t know what I believe in. I went for…

    Future Tag

Not much to report here today, readers, hence the late post (well depending where you live. It’s currently 10:15pm over here). So, I thought I’d give the future tag I found on Tumblr a shot 🙂 1.Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Hopefully with a husband and kids with a stable job and a nice house. My ideal choice would be to be an author, so I’m just at home looking after the kids whilst coming up with new story ideas, etc. Also, possibly still maintaining this blog – who knows? 2. Do you want to get married? Yes! I haven’t given it that much thought, though. 3. Do you…

    Hang on a Second…

I was doing my usual YouTube browsing on my bus journey home today when one of those pre-roll ads interrupted my viewing. This ad was a trailer for the film ‘Endless Love’ starring Alex Pettyfer (I Am Number Four, Beastly, Magic Mike) and Gabriella Wilde (The Three Musketeers, Carrie). Usually I skip after the first 5 seconds but this trailer caught my attention because I swear I’d seen a film exactly like this before… Wait… I’ll be damned… It definitely looks a lot like ‘The Notebook’. Lets take a look at the similarities There’s a rich girl Meanwhile, there’s a local boy who her father doesn’t approve of (obviously) They…

    Why I Love the Blogosphere

I’ve been in the blogosphere for a long time now and yet it still surprises me everyday. Here are 5 reasons why I love the blogosphere. 1. The people Ever since I started out in the blogosphere I’ve met so many cool/amazing/nice people. I wouldn’t just call them ‘online friends’. That conjures up the idea of a 40-year old creep sitting behind a computer, pretending to be a young twenty-something. I’d actually call them my friends even if we haven’t met in real life. There have been people that I know that have stuck around since the dawn of time and have been more helpful in my situations than any…

    Who Am I?

Before you start panicking and think that I’m going to go off on a psychological rant about who I am and what my place is on this Earth…. I’m not going to do that (because well, who knows). I’m talking more about who am I on this blog? I feel like I come off a bit wishy-washy and my blog posts are all over the place, so no one really gets what’s going on or what I’m about. If you get it, then congratulations. You’ll have to tell me how you got there and show me, because I have no freaking clue what I’m doing with this blog. Don’t get…

A Letter to My 16-Year Old Self

Dear Chynna, Okay… Listen here you little punk. I’m going to be brutally honest with you because whilst other people will, you’ll most likely not listen to anyone except yourself (maybe). You’ll probably never see this (unless someone invents time travel, and I get to go back and kick your arse) but I’ll write this letter as if you will. Right. Here goes. YOUR LIFE IS NOT THAT DRAMATIC. Stop mopping around lamenting about the so-called drama in your life. This includes girls who are ratchet, boys who don’t know what they want and your parents. It’s been 6 years, so I’m a bit dusty on the details of what…

    TMI Tag

Kayla recently did the TMI tag, so I thought I’d give it a whiz. You can have a go if you want 🙂 1: What are you wearing? Captain America t-shirt, black skirt, thermal tights, black boots. 2: Ever been in love? I have 3: Ever had a terrible breakup? I’ve only had one break-up and it wasn’t bad, just afterwards was the worst 4: How tall are you? Not entirely sure, but I think I’m 5ft 5: How much do you weigh? Who has time to weigh themselves, these days? Haha 6: Any tattoos? One on my shoulder that says “We’re all mad here” – I love Alice in…

    Dating Conventions

I’ve gotten to that point in my life where I’ve started to question all these so-called conventions when it comes to dating. This includes who should text first, how many days should you wait before texting/calling him, who should call first, etc. It’s all a bit ridiculous, I’ve realised. I’m a pretty impatient person, so if I just sit around waiting like I usually do then nothing will get done because we all know that guys are really, really clueless all the time sometimes. I don’t think guys realise how much they keep girls waiting and on edge. It’s annoying. I mean, really, what’s so wrong with the girl calling…
